ANGER | क्रोध

Many of our plans and purposes don't seem to work when we give too much room for this

strange feeling called anger. It is often taken lightly, however, this has made a huge impact of

destruction in almost all areas of our lives. I think that anger is the opposite of patience. When

we lack patience, the cells of anger start to warm up the nerve in the brain, and it communicates

to the tongue to speak uncivil words that activate the negative energy (devil and its demons) to

operate more actively in the situation, which serves to cause long-term damage to physical and

mental health.

Let’s understand the term angeriness.

Two Greek words in the New Testament are translated as “anger.” One means “passion,

energy,” and the other means “agitated, boiling. Biblically, anger is God-given energy intended

to help us solve problems. Some researchers strongly believe that the root of anger often comes

from the feelings is the sense of powerlessness. When an individual feels vulnerable in an area

like a relationship, occupation, or business. Etc., that triggers the event of the core emotion called

anger.

I was watching one of the videos of a famous motivational speaker(Sandeep

Maheswari)discussing an issue of anger, he said, “Anger doesn’t come from anywhere, it

generates within, rather we DO get angry ourselves.”(रस कतैबाट आउ ँ दैन, बरु हामी आफ ैं रस

गछ). I believe that getting angry is an individual's decision to go violent or calm in the very

moment. Of course, it is not a sin to get angry. Bible speaks in Ephesians 4:26, “Be ye angry, and

sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.” You're not only an individual who faces this

emotion daily, but we all are. Matter of fact, there are great generals of God in the bible who got

angry.

We all know that David’s being upset over hearing Nathan the prophet sharing an

injustice (2 Samuel 12)

Moses killed an Egyptian and later in his life hit the Rock (Numbers 20:7-12)

Our lord Jesus Christ also got angry while He was in the flesh on the earth when some of

the jews had defiled worship at God’s temple. (John 2:13-18)

According to the counselor, 50% of the people came to get counsel on how to overcome

anger issues. Therefore, getting angry itself is not bad, but the motives behind it matter. Jesus’s

anger was pure and completely justified because the root cause of His anger was described as

“zeal” for God’s house and the concern for God’s holiness and worship. If anger is driven bypride, then it is sin. The Book of James said, “For the wrath of man worketh not the

righteousness of God.”(James 1:20).

Dear friends, Anger is the greatest weapon of the enemy to bring us down if it is used for

negative energy. God says anger lodges only in a fool's heart. Therefore, wisely handling this

emotion is one of the great skills of a person. It doesn't overcome overnight, but it's like a gym,

the more you work out, the more you build your muscles.

'Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: '

James 1:19

“He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:

But he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. Proverbs 14:29

Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges the heart of fools. “ Ecclesiastes 7:9
